CONTEST RULES
Kenny Chesney Welcome To The Fishbowl Contest
Rogers Media Inc.
1. Contest Period (“Contest Period”) starts at 6:00am on June 25, 2012 and continues until 9:00am on June 29, 2012 the Contest Closing Date (“Contest Closing Date”). All times are Mountain. No purchase necessary. Only one (1) entry per person. Any attempt or suspected attempt to enter more than once per person, any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or any entry methods not authorized by these rules, shall be deemed as tampering and will void all of your entries. Rogers Media Inc. and Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc. are the sponsors of this Contest (“Contest Sponsors”)
2. This contest is open to residents of Edmonton, Alberta and adjacent cities only who are over the age of majority and who have a valid passport and any other travel documentation required for entry into the United States. Employees, officers and directors of Contest Sponsors, their parent and affiliated companies, representatives, dealers and agents, contest suppliers and judges, and those with whom they are domiciled are not eligible to participate. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
3. (a) To enter, go to BreakfastTelevision.ca and click on the “Contest” tab to select and complete the entry ballot in full and submit it as instructed by the Contest Closing Date.
(b) A random draw by a representative of Rogers Media Inc. from all entries received for one (1) Grand Prize and four (4) Secondary Prizes (as defined below) will be made at 10am on June 29, 2012 (Mountain Time) at Citytv, 10212 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton Alberta. Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone or email, as set out on the entry form.
(c) If a selected entrant cannot be reached by July 4, 2012 by 4 pm (Mountain Time), incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, declines the prize, or fails to return the Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and the Liability and Publicity Release as specified below, Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to select another entrant or to cancel the prize.
4. Secondary Prizes: Four (4) secondary prizes (“Secondary Prizes”) are to be awarded, each consisting of one (1) copy of Kenny Chesney’s CD “Welcome to the Fishbowl” (Approx. retail value of each Secondary Prize $15.00 CAD)
5. Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize is to be awarded (“Grand Prize”), consisting of:
• Return economy air travel for two (2) from Edmonton, AB to Cleveland, OH
• Two (2) nights hotel accommodations based on one room, double occupancy
• Two (2) tickets to Kenny Chesney’s concert July 29, 2012 at the CLEVELAND BROWN STADIUM.
• Inclusion in a Meet and Greet (pre or post show) – (subject to the band’s availability and schedule))
• Two (2) CD copies of the album Kenny Chesney “Welcome To The Fishbowl”
(Approx total retail value of the Grand Prize $2,000.00 CDN)
In the event that the Grand Prize Winner and his/her accompanying guest do not meet the band, the Contest Sponsors will be in no way responsible and no compensation or substitution will be provided in lieu thereof. The Grand Prize Winner’s guest must be over the age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence and have a have a valid passport and any other travel documentation required for entry into the United States. The Grand Prize winner and his/her guest must travel on the dates specified by the Contest Sponsors in their sole discretion. All transportation to and from the airport, ground transportation, departure tax, insurance, fuel charges, travel related fees and items of a personal nature, including but not limited to food, beverages, room service, wine and bar charges, gratuities and local and long distance telephone calls, are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner and his/her guest. The Grand Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein. The Sponsors are not responsible in the event the Grand Prize winner or his/her guest is denied entry into the country concerned or re-entry to Canada. It is recommended that the Grand Prize winner and his/her guest obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. No change in travel arrangements can be made once the booking has been confirmed. The Grand Prize may not be used toward any type of frequent flyer mileage, or other reward point accumulation program.
The Grand Prize and the Secondary Prizes are hereinafter referred to collectively as the “Prize” in these rules and regulations. The Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a Prize in whole or in part for a prize of equal or greater value in the event that any component of a Prize is unavailable for any reason. The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and no substitutions, except as identified above, will be made. The Prizes may not be sold, transferred or assigned and is not convertible to cash
6. To be declared a winner, selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time and return, within a specified period of time, a signed Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and a full Liability and Publicity Release. The Grand Prize Winner’s guest must also sign and return a Declaration and a Liability/Publicity Release prior to being ticketed or within such other period as Contest Sponsors may specify. Grand Prize Winner’s guest cannot be changed after the Declaration and Release are received. The Contest Sponsors’ rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the promotion and the awarding of Prizes.
7. By entering this contest, entrants consent to the use of their entry, name, city of residence and/or any photograph of or that may be taken in publicity carried out by the Contest Sponsors and/or its advertising agencies, without further notice or compensation.
8. No communications will be entered into except with selected entrants.
9. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by the Contest Sponsors. Contest Sponsors take no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors. Contest Sponsors are not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this contest. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors and will not be returned.
10. The Contest Sponsors are collecting personal data about entrants for the purpose of administering this Contest. No further informational or marketing communications will be received by entrants unless entrants provide the Contest Sponsors with explicit permission to do so as indicated on the entry form. Refer to the respective privacy policies of Rogers Media Inc. at www.rogers.com/privacy, and Sony Music Entertainment Inc. at www.sonymusic.ca/privacy/en for information on their respective policies towards maintaining the privacy and security of user information. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Sponsors should be addressed to Rogers Media Inc. c/o Citytv 545 Lakeshore Blvd. West., Toronto, ON, and Sony Music, 150 Ferrand Drive, Toronto, ON M3C 3E5.
11. By entering this Contest, entrants release and hold harmless the Contest Sponsors, their advertising and promotional agencies and the contest judge(s), their affiliates and respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with this Contest or, if declared a winner, the Prize. By accepting a Prize, winners consent to the use of their name, place of residence, voice, statements, photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format without further compensation or notice.
12. This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Contest Sponsors. Contestants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules by participating in the contest. The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
13. (a) Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for failure of the internet or the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest, or any portion thereof, should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
(b) If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof of being the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this contest will be the contest server machine(s).
