CONTEST RULES
BT Calgary - Roberto Alomar & Friends Charity Home Run Derby Contest

The Breakfast Television Roberto Alomar & Friends Charity Home Run Derby Contest (the “Contest”) is brought to you by City, a division of Rogers Broadcasting Limited (“City”), and Rogers Media Inc. (together with City, the “Contest Sponsors”).
1. The Contest starts at 9:00am on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 and continues until 11:59pm on Sunday, July 14, 2013 (the “Contest Period”). All times are Mountain Time. No purchase is necessary. Only one (1) entry per household is allowed during the Contest Period.
2. How to enter: Visit www.BreakfastTelevision.ca/calgary click on the contest links and submit your contact information and submit as instructed for a chance to win passes to Cowboys Derby Day Breakfast (the Event).
3. A random draw will be made by a representative of City, from all eligible entries received, at approximately 1:00pm at 535 7 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB T2P 0Y4 on July 15, 2013 for the chance win the prize. Only the potential winner will be contacted by telephone, as indicated on their entry form.
4. If selected entrants cannot be reached within two (2) business days following the draw, incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, declines the prize, or fails to return a signed Declaration & Release as specified below, another entrant will be selected.
5. Prize: You'll be setting up to the plate in support of the Jays Care Foundation and the alumni from the 92/93 Blue Jays World Series will be there to cheer you on! You'll also receive a Toronto Blue Jays jacket and have the opportunity to take home the title of Home Run Derby Champion. Registration for the Roberto Alomar & Friends Charity Home Run Derby (the Event) is at 12:30pm a the main gate entrance at Seaman Stadium, located at 2111 N Railway St Okotoks, Alberta. The Event begins at 1:00pm and continues to 4:30pm. The Championship trophy presentation is at 4:30pm. The approximate retail value of this prize is: $1,200.00 CDN.
Potential winners are solely responsible for all other fees and charges not specifically mentioned as part of the prize.
6. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash, except at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsors. Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited and have no cash value. Winners are not entitled to any monetary difference between actual prize values and stated approximate prize values, if any. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of greater or equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prizes. Contest Sponsors shall not assume any liability for lost, damaged or misdirected prizes.
7. To be declared a winner, selected entrants must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time, comply with the Contest Rules and may also need to return a signed Declaration & Release (described below). Contest judges’ rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the promotion and the awarding of prizes.
8. By entering this contest, entrants consent to the use of their entry, name, city of residence and/or any photograph of or that may be taken in publicity carried out by City and/or its advertising agencies, without further notice or compensation.
9. The Contest is open to residents of Canada, who are the age of majority, minimum 18 years of age, as of the start of the Contest Period, excluding employees of the Contest Sponsors, their parent and affiliated companies, representatives, dealers and agents, contest suppliers and judges, and those with whom they are domiciled. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
10. No communications will be entered into except with selected entrants.
11. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by City. City takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors. City is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this contest. All entries become the property of City and will not be returned.
12. Each of the Contest Sponsors is collecting personal data about entrants for the purpose of administering this contest. No further informational or marketing communications will be received by Entrants unless Entrants provide Contest Sponsors will explicit permission to do so as indicated on the entry form. 13. By entering this contest, the parent or legal guardian of the entrant, on their own behalf and on behalf of the entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules entrants release and hold harmless the Contest Sponsors, their advertising and promotional agencies, their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors, administrators, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies (collectively the “Releasees”) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest or, if declared a winner, the Prizes, for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrants or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in the Contest, any breach of the Contest Rules, or in any prize-related activity. The entrant agrees to fully indemnify Releasees from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation. By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their name, place of residence, voice, statements, photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or information purposes in any medium or format without further compensation or notice in perpetuity.
14. This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by the Contest Sponsors. Contestants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules by participating in the Contest. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
15. Citytv assumes no responsibility or liability for failure of the internet or the website during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security, fairness, integrity or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, City reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. In the event of cancellation, City may, in its sole discretion, elect to identify winners and award the prizes by way of random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation.
16. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the contest server machine(s).
17. Winners may be required to execute a legal declaration of compliance with these Contest rules and a full liability and publicity release (“Declaration & Release”) that confirms Winners’ and guests’: (i) eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Contest rules; (ii) acceptance of the prize as offered; (iii) release the Releasees from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in the Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any Prize, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from; and (iv) grant to Contest Sponsors of the unrestricted right, in the Contest Sponsors’ collective or individual discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the winners’ and guests’ name, photograph, likeness, voice and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof. The executed Declaration & Release must be returned to Citytv or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the prize forfeited.
